What does it mean to be an officer? To me being an officer means to be a leader in a positive light. What I mean by this is that an officer should lead non-officers by example and show them what it takes to be a leader. Always having integrity, patriotism, tenacity, courage, and service; that’s leading by example. A C-17 Globemaster III with personnel and equipment from the 621st Contingency Response Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, left for for Haiti Oct. 6 in response to Hurricane Matthew. After approximately two years of training and regimented swimming schedules, two Airmen swam the English Channel from Dover, England, to the western coastline of France Sept. 27 and Oct. 3.<br /><br />Majs.
